Yes. Forest Drive is 100% playable out of the box using your standard Meta Quest Touch controllers: steer with the Left Thumbstick, accelerate with the Right Index Trigger, brake/reverse with the Left Index Trigger, apply the handbrake with B or Y, and open the Pause Menu with the Left Menu button. Standard Bluetooth and USB gamepads (such as Xbox and DualSense controllers) are also supported.
Forest Drive includes a custom native Android USB HID integration for the Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel. Connect the G29’s external 24V AC power brick to wall power, set the top switch to PS3 (recommended) or PS4, and plug the G29 USB cable into your Quest headset’s USB-C port via a USB-A to USB-C OTG adapter or a powered USB-C hub.
When prompted by Meta Horizon OS, tap OK to grant USB access. If the wheel is in PS4 mode, Forest Drive automatically switches it into native G29 mode. Full 900° steering, throttle/brake/clutch pedals, steel paddle shifters, the 6-speed Driving Force Shifter, hardware auto-centering, and surface-reactive force feedback are all supported. No internet connection is required for regular gameplay. All three base maps, weather presets, Free Drive, and Driving Challenges run completely offline on your headset. An internet connection is only used when downloading the game, verifying store entitlements, purchasing or downloading optional DLC add-on maps, or sending a one-time anonymous installation log on first launch.
From the in-game startup menu, click ADD-ON MAPS (DLC) in the top header bar and select RESTORE PURCHASES in the upper-right corner. The game queries your signed-in Meta Horizon Store account entitlements, refreshes the signed local entitlement cache, and unlocks any previously purchased add-on maps for download.
